Note to self: Steer clear of the screens with "borderless" bezels since the glue will not hold up and probably just avoid Samsung monitors for gaming all together since it won't even hold up for a full year. This monitor has not moved since it was installed and the room has A/C since there is a powerful hot gaming PC in the room as well. By the time I have finally had time to sit down and look at the issue, of course I am 3 months out of warranty and Samsung can care less that you just paid $600 for a monitor a year ago, and they want almost a quarter of that $215+ for a repair, that is clearly a defect. I have gently pushed it back but non the less the glue won't stick and the screen just starts to separate at the top. The fact that it has a USB to connect but nothing ever seems to care and if I try to check for updates it says there is no USB so there is that.Īfter I have had this Monitor for about 6-8 months I noticed the top of the screen started to come apart and I could see the light of the screen coming from where the bezel should be. A few gripes I have about the monitor.the button layout sucks, toggles for monitors just shouldn't be a thing. Purchased this monitor after friends recommended Samsung and I have had Samsung phones for the last 13 years and love them. And if there's nothing can you change Picture Mode to "sRGB" ? I do have this issue on "Custom" Mode (the default) and on "sRGB" mode.Great graphics, poor build quality It has been a little over a year since I purchased, and out of warranty and out of support. But can you try again ( Open application NVIDIA Geforce Experience (maximize window) in "Home" tab ) and go from 0 to 20 on Black Equalizer ? And if you have Night Light , please turn it off. There's something with those specific websites that's causing the issue.įor the Geforce I put "(.)" . I did have the flickering problem before, but that was solved with the firmware update. Was not able to reproduce when opening GeForce Experience and maximizing the window on the Home tab. Never saw this problem before doing this test. As soon as I close those offending browser tabs the issue goes away. I was able to reproduce this issue, but only when looking at the specific websites you linked. Connected with DP 1.4, 240 Hz, to an Nvidia 3090 FE card. I've had my 32" G7 for about 2.5 months now. ( e) Open application NVIDIA Geforce Experience (maximize window) in "Home" tab ) If you have an Odyssey G7 32", can you try this for me and tell me if you have also this issue ? Must be connected on Displayport 1.4 (240 Hz) with a NVIDIA graphics card + Black Equalizer set on 13 (the default value that engineers are not scared to put this unlucky number.) / or simply put to default settings (+ Night light off on Windows) :ġ) You can reproduce "Scanlines" issue on these following sites (on a browser like GOOGLE CHROME/ MICROSOFT EDGE and MAXIMIZE the window) : US community or European community get ignored by Samsung.Īs you can see, I'm not the only one to have this problem. Sometimes it disappear when you change in "Black Equalizer" settings. + I might think it's a firmware problem because when I replaced this monitor (dead/stuck pixel) with a new one that I'm currently using, both have "Scanlines" issue. People like me have this kind of problem : Well there's another problem : Scanlines (horizontal lines that appear on the entire screen) issue. You certainly know there was a flickering issue with the G-sync before the 1009.3 firmware.
